85 years ago, on October 22, 1933, during the General Meeting of the members of the Ham RadioAssociation, Lodz Radio Ham Club was established. The first president of the Club was Tadeusz Palczyński SP1BC. According to unconfirmed information, the club counted 21 licensed ham operators then. The establishment of the Lodz Radio Ham Club caused the rapid development of amateur radio in the Lodz region. Its members have achieved many national and international successes.
The Lodz Regional Department of the Polish Ham Team continues the traditions of its predecessor. Over 260 members currently belong to the Lodz Radio Ham Club.
Work under the occasional HF85LD sign will commemorate this historical date.
